Beale Park Boat Show more info

This annual event at Beale Park, on the Thames near Pangbourne is chock full of wooden boats and a whole host of events and demonstrations to interest TARS. Camping is available at £10 per unit per night. See the Beale Park Boat Show website for more details.

Coate Water Corroboree more info

A pick-and-choose day that can include a short walk around Coate Water or a longer walk in the area in the morning, a picnic lunch on the shores of Coate Water and a visit to the Richard Jeffries Museum in the afternoon. Richard Jeffries is the author of Bevis, one of Ransome's favourite childhood books, which was based on his own childhood.

Help work a narrow boat up through the flight of locks at Stoke Bruerne on the Grand Union Canal in Northamptonshire, then visit the Waterways Museum.
